What’s the best way to write a script for a video? Content marketing with videos is a key marketing tool, and it’s getting easier to do.
Here’s a new video the folks over at iMotionVideo Studios produced for me. I just love this service. Left to my own devices, I’d probably make one video every few months. But with a low-fee monthly subscription for a year, I know I’ve got a one-minute video commercial coming every 30 days. This is key for content marketing.
Why would I want that many? I don’t really, but for content marketing to work you need as much content as you can, in all forms. I use them to submit to video directories, post to YouTube, and it all counts to get found in Google searches. Some content marketing things have to combine quality AND frequency.
Most of the time I focus on how important it is to write quality online content for your readers, and teach my clients to achieve maximum results, they have to be writing things that are relevant and important to their readers: how do you solve their problems.
Most of the time, I find there is a natural tendency for professionals to write from their own perspectives, i.e., how their services really work. but without focusing on the problems people struggle with, nobody is going to be interested in the fact that you’re the best coach or consultant around.
With the service with iMotionVideo, all you have to do is write a 100-word script and they do the rest. That’s not all that hard. Here’s my steps for writing a video commercial script:
- What’s the big problem your ideal clients struggle with?
- What’s your solution?
- Why is it better than others?
- What do viewers need to do to take action now?
A video commercial is a little different from a video clip you shoot of yourself working and speaking casually to viewers. It’s not designed to show your personality, really. But it does work to get the essential information across:
What problem can you solve for people and what action do they need to take now?
I think this particular video above works for attracting clients because of the emphasis on the problems people have creating their own content for online marketing. What do you think?
P.S. I am an affiliate… 😉 … because I believe in their quality service.
