Do you need to create professional looking sales or landing pages? Want to save yourself the hassles? You can learn to do this using your WordPress platform.
There are very few drawbacks to using WordPress as your primary web platform. When you do encounter a problem, it’s easy to find a solution. I’ve found that most of the time, there’s a savvy expert out there who’s already created a whiz-bang plugin, or a product to do exactly what you want. Suzanne Bird-Harris is a perfect example.
Here’s what happened to me a few months ago. I had a teleclass I was doing with Michael Martine teaching The Ultimate Traffic Formula, how to get maximum results from your blogging efforts.
First thing I tried to do was create a registration page using my WordPress site on this blog. In the past, I used Dreamweaver to create web pages, but it gets complicated coding in HTML, and adding graphics is time-consuming.
So I thought, why not just create a stand-alone page on the WP blog? So I wrote the sales copy, added a few graphics, and hit publish. It looked crappy. Why? A combination of things, like it had my blog header, and side-bar widgets, so it looked like a blog post/page, not a professionally-designed, clean landing page.
I started messing with it some more. My Headway premium blog theme allows me to hide headers and side bar items. But to tell the truth, I hadn’t yet learned how to do this properly and I messed up. I couldn’t hide the navigation bar, for some reason.
The last thing you want to do on a sales/landing page is distract readers from your copy. You want them to take action – one action only: click and buy, or click and register. That’s it.
A few hours later, I was frustrated and felt like a techno-idiot yet again. My solution when this happens is to call Rica, my friendly, efficient virtual assistant. Rica always comes to my rescue. A few hours later I had a professional-looking page that was clean and beautiful.
Then I thought, how did she do this so fast? I really need to be able to do a page like this myself, without having to go into the control panel on my Hostgator server and mess with the html code.
That’s when I found Suzanne Bird-Harris, a Worpress wizard if there ever was one. It turns out my VA was already using Suzanne’s WP Sales Page product!
I spoke with Suzanne, learned she was not just savvy, but nice to boot. I was so impressed, I asked if she would do a free class with me to teach you folks how to use her product and create your own sales pages without the hassles.
She said yes. You see, I’m a clever girl, I figure that as she teaches you how to do this, I’ll learn myself. So here are the details and a registration form. You can register right here for the free class on June 24, 2010, at 4 p.m. ET, and get the free audio file:
I hope you’ll join us and learn how you can use this simple product to create great pages. Suzanne includes several easy to use tutorials and bonuses when you buy her product, including complete instructions on how to install the product to your WordPress blog and great graphics you can use on your page.
